Is there a best time of year to put your house on the market?
Selling a property at the right time of the year is something that has been in discussion for years and years.
Is Spring the best time? How about September? We’ll leave it to the New Year – the children are on school holiday etc etc. … “It’s Christmas” is the one we are hearing now.
In this day and age, with homebuyers being able to find properties 24/7 there really is no point in analysing this too much.
For me, the right time to sell a property is when it feels right for you and when you are motivated to get moving.
If you’ve made a decision to move then visualise a successful and easy move, at a good price and get going.
You could take the view that if other sellers are making excuses not to place their properties on the market, that is all the more reason for you to take action as you will have more buyers available to look at buying yours.
This is a typical view at this time of the year – if you genuinely want to move in the New Year then do the complete opposite to what most sellers are doing and take advantage of the situation.
At Campbells we enjoy the festive season but we don’t lose sight of selling and letting property – we love it.
