Living In Weedon
When you engage with the Campbells Weedon Team you will soon realise that we are a friendly and approachable bunch of property experts who genuinely want to help you.
We are the local estate agents specialising in the sale, rental and management of property in Weedon, Nether Heyford, Bugbrooke, Farthingstone, Flore, Dodford, Brockhall, Norton, Church Stowe and Everdon.
A lot of clients tell us how daunting it is to call estate agents as some would say we have this reputation for wanting to know everything and asking tons of questions.
We promise we are not like that here at Campbells. The best ways to communicate with us are to pick up the phone, drop us a line or just come in and say hello. We look forward to meeting you.
Weedon Bec has been named as the overall winner of the 2015 Northamptonshire Best Village Competition. The annual awards celebrate community spirit and quality of life in Northamptonshires villages.
As well as being named overall winner Weedon Bec was also named best large village with judges commending it for its “welcoming and vibrant community.”
Weedon Bec, usually called just “Weedon” when including Lower and Upper Weedon were once distinct villages now merged into one. The “Bec” part of the name is derived from the Abbey of Bec Hellouin in France which owned most of the village until King Henry VIII dissolved Monasteries and gave it to Eton College!
You will notice lots of Military road names – such as Equestrian Way, Cavalry Fields and Fusilier Way.
Weedon was home to an army barracks, holding a standing battalion, plus a troop of cavalry and a troop of horse artillery. The horse tethers are still in situ.
The Military Ordnance Depot, built in 1805 still stands as a prominent feature in the village – the depot consisted of eight large storehouses built either side of the central canal and high stone wall. This is now a Grade II listed building.
The Grand Union Canal and West Coast Main Line both pass through the village.
At Campbells, we are different. Feel free to ask any question you like and we promise to be as honest and up front as we can without wanting to know all your credentials. So, whatever you want to achieve, we have the resources here to advise you properly.
“I pride myself on giving accurate, realistic valuations based on experience, backed up by comparable properties that have sold. As the owner of a Grade II listed house myself in Northamptonshire, I have personal experience of the intricacies and conditions relevant to purchasing and living in an older property.
When you sell and let as many houses as me and my colleagues do in the Village communities, you can be assured as a seller, landlord, buyer or tenant that you will receive sound, honest and reliable advice.
My attention to detail through years of experience gives me an added bonus when it comes to creating your internet marketing copy and photographs. When you ask me to sell or let your property, I will create the most compelling details in order to find you the very best buyer or tenant and, for the best price!”
