The village has a lovely sense of community, which during lockdown has proved to be a haven for the locals. The village pub, the Head of Steam, has been doing take away meals and a group of villagers have made sure that everyone had everything they needed. There is a WhatsApp/ Facebook village group to keep in touch with residents and local news.

There is a community minibus, which takes the younger children to the Primary school in Yelvertoft, runs a shopping service into Rugby and is available for private hire. Lilbourne also falls within the catchment area for Guilsborough School.

We know, the now grown-up kids, will be sorry to see it sold, as this house has so much to offer and there is a little bit of Parklands View in all of them. If it wasn’t for the necessity to move to a new location, we wouldn’t be selling!!"
