Unique Four Bedroom Detached Property For Sale in Crick, Northamptonshire
Now, we’re not really sure where to begin with this distinctive four bedroom home; but we guess the best place to start would be the garden (which is unusual, we know)…
Apart from the beautiful, sunning decking area that sits beautifully at the rear of the property, the natural stream that runs through the garden and the shear size, the one thing we could not put a price on with this property, is the view at the back.
This unique home has the added benefit of looking out to Well Hill. The rear view here is always green. We had the pleasure of sitting on the decking in the sunshine when we first visited, looking out at the hillside and trust us, the photos do not do it justice.
This is the perfect property if you appreciate nature.
The garden in itself, is very beautiful. The current owners have done a fantastic job looking after this garden and moulding it into something very charming for them to enjoy (and now you can too).
The decking area is also stunning and is in the sun all day – imagine the BBQs and the parties! The decking almost allows the garden to become part of the house.
Since we are talking about the outside, it is important for us to mention that it is not just the rear garden that is a fantastic size – the front is too! The current driveway can comfortably fit four cars (although the current owners have managed six!) and there is still the opportunity to double its size if you really wanted to (although we quite like the current floral arrangements – its more in-keeping with the setting) – in addition to this, you also have a double garage.
The driveway also allows the property to sit back from the road, it is certainly a very private plot.
The downstairs layout is very unique and there are a lot of opportunities here for you to use it in any way to suit your needs.
As you enter into the hallway, there is a large lounge to your right that is also currently used as a dining area, which has French doors leading out onto the decking in the garden. The lounge also has a really stylish log burner. Next to this is a modern kitchen / breakfast room that also overlooks the garden and provides access to the decking area.
Down another inner hallway is another large reception room that you could use as a more formal dining room. The modern sunroom provides a lovely additional space to this reception room too and because it has special thermal control glass, it neither gets too hot or too cold in here. There could be a lot of uses for this space including an alternative living room, playroom or studio.
There is also a separate study leading from this room which sits hidden away – a perfect space well away from the rest of the house if you need peace and quiet.
This part of the house in general offers the perfect space if you run your business from home.
Further down the inner hallway is a really good size utility room which allows you to keep the washing hidden away and provides extra space away from the kitchen if you need it.
The utility room also has a downstairs WC and an internal entrance to the double garage.
We don’t think you would need the extra space but the garage also provides a great opportunity to extend the downstairs layout if you really wanted to. With the plumbing already in place, you could even put an annexe in the property if you wanted to.
Here is a fun fact for you – the plans for this property were actually bought from the "Ideal Homes" exhibition at the Earls Court Show in the 70’s.
It is also important to mention at this point that the boiler is just over a year old. You really wouldn’t need to spend any money on this home.
Upstairs there are four double bedrooms that are all fantastic sizes. There is also a family bathroom and the master bedroom has an ensuite shower room. Three of the bedrooms also have built in wardrobes and cupboards.
The views out of Bedroom One and Four are amazing too.
