If you have been looking for a day to switch off from the usual routine and spend some time focusing on yourself, there is a full-day wellbeing retreat coming to Weedon Bec this October.
The Lotus Rising Retreat takes place at Weedon Village Hall on Saturday 10th October 2026, bringing together meditation, reflective practices, energy-focused sessions and creative activities across the day.
Led by Georgie Lamb and Francesca Raffa, the retreat runs from 10am until 5.30pm and is designed as a day of reflection, personal development and relaxation.
Event Details
Date: Saturday 10th October 2026
Time: 10am to 5.30pm
Venue: Weedon Village Hall
Address: West Street, Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire, NN7 4QU
Hosts: Georgie Lamb and Francesca Raffa
Visitors are asked to bring their own yoga mat, with a cushion and blanket also recommended if you would like to make yourself more comfortable during the meditation and relaxation sessions.
What happens during the day?
The retreat is divided into different parts, each exploring a different theme.
The morning begins with an introduction to the day and a guided chakra energy activation, followed by reflective exercises focused on letting go of old patterns and experiences.
Later sessions include a Blue Lotus Tea Ceremony, guided meditation and a shamanic drumming journey led as part of the retreat programme.
The organisers describe these sessions through a spiritual and personal-development lens, so this is likely to appeal most to people who are curious about meditation, energy work and alternative wellbeing practices.
A full day to slow down
One of the main attractions of an event like this is simply having the time to step away from everyday distractions.
Rather than a short class or evening workshop, Lotus Rising runs across most of the day.
There are breaks built into the programme, including time for lunch, before the afternoon moves into further meditation, voice work and creative reflection.
The pace is intentionally different from an ordinary Saturday.
For anyone interested in spirituality, meditation or personal development, it offers the opportunity to spend a few hours focusing on those things without having to travel far from home.
Afternoon sessions
The afternoon programme continues with a guided meditation described as The Bloom, followed by a voice activation session exploring sound, breath and vocal expression.
Later in the day, participants will also take part in reflective and creative exercises, including inkblot art, before the retreat closes with a final movement and empowerment session.
There is quite a lot packed into the day, so this is more of an immersive retreat experience than a single wellbeing class.
What should you bring?
The organisers ask everyone attending to bring:
A yoga mat
You may also want to bring:
A cushion
A blanket
Comfortable clothing would make sense for a day involving meditation, movement and floor-based activities.
It is also worth checking directly with the organisers about food and anything else you may need to bring before attending.
