I have been extremely happy with the service received from Campbells.

As you know I really loved the house as soon as I saw it and your methods for finding the right people really have been a wonderful positive experience. A house is not a home unless it is loved and this place certainly will be.

Both Gemma and Janet were really helpful at all stages and were clear on what was required from me and when in order to show an interest in the house in what it seems is a competitive market! You turned what could have been a very stressful experience into a very informed one and therefore it was a lot easier to deal with given our circumstances.

The forms I had to fill in were not too over complicated and any questions I had both by phone and email were answered so quickly.

I chose Campbells due to their obvious presence in the area ( boards and signs ) and also due to having seen the house I wanted. I’ve not used you before but would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to buy, sell or rent.

Although I was on tenterhooks whilst awaiting a decision I was regularly updated so I knew what to expect at every stage.

I do see renting a bit differently now and do not feel negatively as I had done before towards renting as opposed to buying. You obviously house people from all walks of life and background and take great care to match people to the right house.

In particular I was impressed with the welcome pack which was so concise in content and really had thought of everything. Even though I have lived in the area for 8 years it was full of useful information!

Janet initially showed me around the house and immediately put me at ease when I was particularly nervous looking at renting at all to be honest. And my honesty about my situation was greeted with equal honesty about the application process and what you look for which gave me a more positive outlook from the offset.

I thought it necessary to give feedback on the wonderful service I received from Clare Bonwick recently.

Clare went ‘above and beyond’ during the sale of my property; not only was she supremely professional but also extremely approachable.

I think I’m convinced by the surveys that claim moving house is at the top of the league in terms of stressful life events but fortunately for me, I had a great service. This considerably negated the decision making and, throughout I felt I had someone who had my best interests in mind. She negotiated admirably and advised appropriately.

I just wanted to write to you to express my gratitude at the service we received from Jamie and his team during our house purchase. We collect the keys tomorrow after a very long and challenging house process.

Back in Spring last year we began on our journey to look for a house in Crick to be closer to family. I quickly realised that Campbells were great at getting beautiful properties and, as we wanted an older property, I knew they were the best place for me to start looking.

We met Amanda back in May and were instantly pleased with her friendly nature and knowledge of the house we looked around. She wasn’t pushy or overbearing like some agents and allowed us the space we needed to look around. Within minutes, we knew we loved the property.

Amanda kept in contact with me on a regular basis – even when another couple had their offer accepted and then it fell through. I really felt that she was rooting for us to buy our dream home.

We eventually got a buyer for our house in Aylesbury, after an awful experience with our agent who overvalued our property (by £70k above the market value!) and sent representatives who didn’t even know our house to show prospective buyers round. This is when I was introduced to Jamie, and since October we have spoken on an almost daily basis – he has always been very keen to ensure we are receiving the very best service.

I can always contact the office and everyone knows who I am, unlike our own agents who don’t even know what property I am the vendor of. Campbells made me feel reassured and informed every step of the way.

Our house purchase hasn’t been a straightforward process – we’ve needed to do quite a bit of negotiating with the vendor, but Jamie has been an absolute star (alongside Paul!). In addition, as we had such a small chain we felt it would be a quick sale. This turned out not to be the case. In the four-and-a-half months, at points things have sometimes become very stressful as we kept creeping close to exchange to find out in reality we were nowhere near (especially as we have a toddler and a newborn in the house). However, Jamie always had solutions to problems and went above and beyond his role to help progress both our purchase and sale along, calling agents and solicitors and most importantly keeping the vendors of our new house happy!

No matter who I speak to at Campbells, I know they actually care about me as a customer and genuinely love what they do. Estate agents often get a bad name for chasing commission and I never got that impression from Campbells at all. In fact, in hindsight, we wish we had chosen Campbells to sell our house too – I know which agent I’d rather pay commission to!

Overall I have to give my greatest thanks to Jamie. He has been an absolute delight to work with. He has met surveyors, structural engineers, been available night and day for me to offload about solicitors and I would love for him to be nominated for a customer service award. I’ve said it to him already, but if all agents and solicitors were like him house buying would be a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I should also add that we have lots of friends in the area who will be looking to buy their first homes or sell properties in the coming years. When they begin to look to move, I will be telling them that there is only one agent they should consider. In fact, I’ve already been telling anyone that will listen just how fantastic our experience with Campbells has been!

With a husband named Jamie and a son named Campbell I was sure choosing your Estate Agent was a good sign and I’m pleased to say I was right.

We chose Campbells to sell our house as a friend at work had sold their house through them and had recommended them.
All the staff we have dealt with, Amanda, Mark and Jamie have been friendly and easy to talk to, we knew that they were only a phone call or email away if we had any problems.

Also all of the staff are always very smartly dressed which gives a good impression.

My partner and I had been looking for a property for a while and viewed a few houses that were on sale with Campbells, as well as other agents too. The service received by Campbells stood out a mile, friendly, courteous and very well informed.

So when we found the house we were looking for I did not hesitate in asking Campbells to sell my home as I wanted any prospective buyer to have the level of service I had received myself and which I was confident they would provide.

I had not been aware of quite how much service they offered, particularly with regard to their online service, with advertising on their website, Rightmove and also social media.

Finding a Buyer was easy, the first viewing secured the deal but the process to completion of the sale of our house was a frustrating and lengthy process due to unforseen complex legal issues.

Campbells delivered on their promise to support their Sellers throughout the process over and above what we would have expected.

Mark Heycock in particular was an unexpected pleasure to deal with. He was always available by email, direct phone or promptly returned any communication.

Campbell’s staff always passed messages on efficiently and did what they could to help a difficult situation.

I had never used Campbells before, though had been highly recommended by Amanda Brady of Taylor Rose my conveyancer. Amanda knows the area well and this field and Campbells came HIGHLY recommended.

You are always apprehensive to go into business with an agent you know nothing about. There are some great agents out there that are very personable and professional, however, there are those who are not so highly recommended. Amanda assured me that Campbells, particularly Mark, were very ‘straight down the line’. I appreciated this, as I can’t be doing with the games some agents play, just to get a bit more cash. We understand that agents are on commission and have to earn their money, however, integrity and confidentiality come high on my preference when choosing an agent. I felt I was very looked after, particularly through a difficult time with family illnesses.

Unfortunately, I had previously entered into an arrangement with another agent and had built a rapport with a particular person at the agency as initially buying and selling through them. However, the person I was working with left and the whole process wasn’t great. Particularly as they were not local, therefore, having no real knowledge of the area.

I realized that I should have initially used a local agent to sell my house, hindsight is a wonderful thing. An expensive mistake to make too as the market can change quickly due to economic trends etc.

Campbells made me confident that they knew what they were doing and knew the market. Very professional and personable at the same time. Staff were easy to contact, particularly when difficult to communicate due to my work restraints. An email or text service is so helpful and makes the communication easier.

Staff always responded well and Mark was attentive to keep things moving and progressing and would communicate things well, keeping me in the loop, which is vital as a customer to feel you are being kept up to date with the various stages.

Campbells service is definitely value for money and I would say that agents really earn their fee by going the extra mile.

Mark was great at suggesting companies to contact when I had to have a damp survey on my new property. It is always good to get recommendations. There are so many rogue traders out there that it is vital to deal with people who know their field well.

The decision to choose Campbells over the alternative suppliers was not a difficult one.

Mark’s professionalism and local knowledge “shone through”. This was about his local experience of both the market and the geographical area the house sat, as much as the reputation of your agency, which also proceeded his initial visit.

Careful consideration of client needs certainly governs the way Campbells work.

The sale of my late brother-in-law’s house in Daventry was agreed after only three days on the market. The offer accepted was £5000 more than anticipated and the buyers proved to be well selected. No problems were encountered at any stage. My wife & I were kept well informed of progress at all times.

In addition, while the house stood empty pre-sale, our man Stan helped out with other, shall we say, peripheral issues…arranging a plumber to repair a non-functioning boiler, for example, and to service the same appliance prior to completion. He also managed to find a home for a couple of vacuum cleaners & a three piece suite that certainly did not deserve being carted off to the tip.

Excellent service all round, we thought, certainly above & beyond.

We chose Campbells as they are seen and obvious in the village, they advertise in the post office and I had seen that they had sold a Victorian character property just down the road from us.

Our property is an 1850’s Victorian old bakehouse, which is end of terrace/semi with no parking, it combines both old original features with new styles and living space. In our minds it wasn’t an easy property to market and being located opposite a public house was not everyone’s cup of tea.

From the outset Jamie was interested and learned about the history of the property so that this could be passed onto buyers, he understood the advantages and disadvantages and turned these into positives for buyers.

I first contacted Campbells about 8 years ago when I found myself with a property to sell at both a difficult time in the housing market and personally.

Throughout the time it took to sell and purchase I was helped at every step of the way and despite looking at loads of houses over a long period of time the staff were all very patient with me. They listened to what I needed and acted accordingly and with sensitivity.

I made an enquiry about a house Campbells were marketing. Once I spoke to Jamie I was really happy with my initial contact so I looked at the website and social media sites, liked what I saw and asked for him to arrange a valuation of my house.

Before going to Campbells I was with another estate agent for 7 months – I got a few viewings but no offers.

I had heard about Campbells and in particular Clare, as she also lives in Clifton as do I. I thought I would give Clare a shot and see what she could do.

Clare had a look around my house and advised me to make a few changes, only very slight ones, ones that I certainly wouldn’t of thought of and the previous estate agent didn’t suggest …10 days later, about 12 viewings and she found me a buyer, I couldn’t believe it!! Buying a house is the biggest purchase of one’s private life and one hopes for a level of professionalism to match that key time. Campbells certainly did; every call, every query was rapidly dealt with in a clear, concise and friendly manner.

As the purchaser, we do not directly pay Campbells, however, having sold our previous property and having a good idea of the charges likely to have been paid, then their fees would have been more than justified.

The public may not be aware that many ‘sales’ do not actually materialise and so these costs have to be borne by those sales that do succeed. In our case, we experienced two vendors who pulled out of agreed deals just before exchange. We had no apology and – worse for the agents – they had no fees.

The Campbells team kept us informed when solicitors, for many reasons, seemed so slow with any feedback. It is surprising that in this day and age that £5 of goods bought on line – prompts the seller to send the buyer more ‘day to day’ info than solicitors do with a house costing £1000s! Campbells filled that crucial information gap.

As a buyer, dealing with an estate agent is something you have to do and I am very much aware that they are working for the seller.

However, I have never felt like this was the case. I felt you had my best interests at heart.

From the first call when you recognised that we were looking at very different properties at different ends of the scale you wanted to make sure we realised what we were looking for.

You gave your time up on a Sunday so we could view houses and from there you always had time for us as a buyer, returned every call and was completely honest with me in all of our dealings.

We had never used Campbells before, but my wife found out that they do an ex-forces discount and a fixed fee, on a no sale no fee basis.

Mark came out to our property and explained clearly and professionally what was going to happen, and what we could expect.

I chose Campbells to act as my estate agent because of the impression the shop window had made on me over the previous couple of years.

Knowing that I would want to move, I regularly walked Daventry High Street looking at the properties advertised by the various estate agents. There was no doubt in my mind that Campbells stood out from the others.
