Buying or selling a property can be a stressful process at the best of times, but even more so when living hundreds of miles from the flat in question. Jamie was quick in his assurance that all would be fine.

My uncle lives in Daventry and recommended that we use Campbells to sell our house. The team were great, especially Mark and Stan who helped me overcome some repairs that needed to be done to the house by recommending known local tradesman.

Before going to Campbells I was with another estate agent for 7 months – I got a few viewings but no offers.

I had heard about Campbells and in particular Clare, as she also lives in Clifton as do I. I thought I would give Clare a shot and see what she could do.

Clare had a look around my house and advised me to make a few changes, only very slight ones, ones that I certainly wouldn’t of thought of and the previous estate agent didn’t suggest …10 days later, about 12 viewings and she found me a buyer, I couldn’t believe it!! And it was over the asking price!!

During those 10 days I was always kept updated with how viewings had gone, whether that was by Clare or another member of the team! They would call me, leave messages and even a written note in the house to tell me how it had gone!

I have honestly been overwhelmed at how professional and dedicated Clare and her team are. Clare was even going to come round and see me on her day off as I couldn’t do any other time!

We chose Campbells based on these two steps:

Mark, Amanda and Stan all dealt with us in the most professional and approachable way; we were not harassed but gently encouraged with considerable patience and understanding.

Buying a house is the biggest purchase of one’s private life and one hopes for a level of professionalism to match that key time. Campbells certainly did; every call, every query was rapidly dealt with in a clear, concise and friendly manner.

As the purchaser, we do not directly pay Campbells, however, having sold our previous property and having a good idea of the charges likely to have been paid, then their fees would have been more than justified.

The public may not be aware that many ‘sales’ do not actually materialise and so these costs have to be borne by those sales that do succeed. In our case, we experienced two vendors who pulled out of agreed deals just before exchange. We had no apology and – worse for the agents – they had no fees.

The Campbells team kept us informed when solicitors, for many reasons, seemed so slow with any feedback. It is surprising that in this day and age that £5 of goods bought on line – prompts the seller to send the buyer more ‘day to day’ info than solicitors do with a house costing £1000s! Campbells filled that crucial information gap.

As a buyer, dealing with an estate agent is something you have to do and I am very much aware that they are working for the seller.

However, I have never felt like this was the case. I felt you had my best interests at heart.

From the first call when you recognised that we were looking at very different properties at different ends of the scale you wanted to make sure we realised what we were looking for.

You gave your time up on a Sunday so we could view houses and from there you always had time for us as a buyer, returned every call and was completely honest with me in all of our dealings.

It has been an absolute pleasure buying our home through you, a home that we hope will have so many happy memories.

We have spoken a lot and as you know it has been a rough couple of years for the both of us.
This is a great life event for us and this has felt like it is meant to be.

Well, this is our golden sky. And that is possible because you went above and beyond in your service to us. I felt I could be completely honest with you and when our sale was going badly you never held that against us despite the fact there was a lot of interest, and continued to keep us informed on progress.

Time will tell if this is our forever home, we both really hope it is. We are excited that we get to live in it, but if it isn’t you can be sure that the estate agent I will turn to is Campbells.

I was fortunate enough to purchase my house through Campbells in the first instance, so there was no doubt in my mind that when it came to selling my property that I would go back to Campbells.

Campbells are a huge presence in Weedon. We met with two other estate agents and immediately decided on Campbells, based on their professionalism, and friendly very human approach.

I had no previous experience of using Campbells before however, from day 1, the experience was amazing. When I met Stan for the first time when he took me around two houses, I knew I was in safe hands. We had easy discussions about the houses I saw, and simple honest dialogue.

Once the house was purchased, I pretty much dealt with Amanda for the 5 months through to completion.

I am compelled to provide some first-hand feedback for Amanda. I spoke with her over the phone many times and then met her when I needed another viewing. As I said with Stan, nothing was ever a problem. This is the first time I had purchased a house in 20 years after a divorce, so I was not exactly looking forward to the experience, but you all made it easier.

As I was purchasing a property I didn’t pay any fees but I feel that I owe Amanda and Stan a small gift for keeping me sane during the process.

Without doubt and if I were ever to sell, you will be the first people I would come to.

My wife and I approached Campbells regarding a property they were advertising in Daventry.

The response was excellent and Stan French responded very quickly and in a business like way, arranging a viewing for the next available day. We had never used Campbells before, but my wife found out that they do an ex-forces discount and a fixed fee, on a no sale no fee basis.

Mark came out to our property and explained clearly and professionally what was going to happen, and what we could expect.

Stan came out to take the pictures and measure up, making sure the pictures showed the property to its best advantage, without being misleading in any way. A flurry of activity over a single day brought six viewers, we were informed in plenty of time when the viewings were going to happen.

I’m sorry we never met the people who showed them round, they must have done a great job judging by the number of bids we received.

Mark kept me up to date on an ongoing basis with what was happening, and took me through the options. He went back to all the bidders and secured the best price possible for me. I was delighted. At all times everybody was highly professional, courteous and friendly.

I chose Campbells to act as my estate agent because of the impression the shop window had made on me over the previous couple of years.

Knowing that I would want to move, I regularly walked Daventry High Street looking at the properties advertised by the various estate agents. There was no doubt in my mind that Campbells stood out from the others. The quality and individual nature of the property descriptions went beyond the standard listing of a residences facilities and the displays were attractive and inviting to read.
Therefore, once I had decided that it was time to take action it was Campbells that I approached first.

On entering, I immediately met Amanda and confessed that I wanted to sell but had no idea of how to go about it. Amanda was great and soon had my flat on the market and within a month had found a buyer. I felt I was in experienced and understanding hands and was grateful for her advice regarding both the initial asking price and subsequently, which offers to reject and which to accept.
Finding somewhere new to live proved more difficult and reflected my inexperience of the property market and housing issues in general.

I was forced to reassess my expectations several times. However, the team at Campbells remained patient and continued to alert me to possibilities and arrange viewings where necessary. Relative to the other agents I encountered, there is no doubt that Campbells were much more professional in terms of attitude, communication and organisation.

Once I did find somewhere, Amanda carried out the negotiations greatly to my benefit and we then entered a convoluted, prolonged and at times difficult transaction which led to issues with my own buyer. I think the team at Campbells deserve considerable praise for the way they handled this period and I would identify Stan and Amanda in particular, for their efforts and diplomacy in keeping the process alive.

I am not very good at assessing monetary value but I can say that I am very pleased I chose Campbells to represent me during my sale and purchase. I knew that I would need guidance and it was a great comfort to know that my inexperience would not be taken advantage of. The service I received met my needs and in Amanda and Stan went beyond normal expectations.

I recently used Clare Bonwick’s services at Campbells to sell my house in Clifton Upon Dunsmore. I chose Campbells, and particularly Clare, as they had managed the purchase of this property previously (and provided a great service) so there was no reason to look elsewhere.

This was a very stressful time for me and my partner as we were selling the house, separating and I was moving abroad.
From the outset, Clare appreciated all of this and made the process as simple as it could be under the circumstances. She fairly assessed the value of the house and how to ‘stage’ the property to ensure that we got a fair price on completion.

The service charges were good value for money and she made sure that I was kept well informed throughout the process.

She delivered constructive comments back to me on the opinions of those who viewed the property so that we could improve or adjust how the property was seen by potential purchasers.

Emma and I would like to say the biggest thanks to Mark for his honest approach to the sale of our house in Willoughby.

We were advised by many people recommending different local estate agents so we did try a couple of them and found that the glossy brochures they had couldn’t match the friendly professionalism given to us by Mark at Campbells. I have now been in my new home for almost 6 weeks and I can honestly say that I would not have done it without the staff from Campbells Estate Agents Daventry.

I am a single female and I was having to move from the family home of 33years.
I was recommended Campbells and it was the best thing I could have done.

I was very, very anxious about moving and that I may not be able to get a mortgage but after finally plucking up the courage to make the first step I spoke to Janet who was very understanding and promised that Campbells would look after me the whole of my moving journey. If I had any worries or concerns then there would always
someone who would reassure and support me.

I met Amanda a few days later. Amanda was flexible with her appointments which was great when you work full time.

Amanda was so professional and yet also had that friendly approach with no pressure of getting a sale. Amanda was clear about valuing my property, a price was agreed and within the week I had put my trust in Campbells and my house was on the market.

Amanda advised me on how to arrange the house and gardens to gain more interest, and I followed her advice. Professional photographs were taken for the sale which I had full knowledge of and agreement.

Through Campbells I was introduced to Bob, a mortgage adviser. I was very nervous about meeting him as I was sure that I would not get another mortgage. Bob, just like Amanda, was caring and reassuring in his approach and within a week I had my mortgage agreed in principle.

Janet called me to make sure that I was okay and reassured me that if I had any problems then I was to call her and she would ensure that the issues would be resolved.

My property was sold within 3 days of being put on the market.

Amanda accompanied the house showings and the sale went ahead. I found my new home the week after.

If I did not understand what the solicitors wanted or needed, I knew all I had to do was to call Campbells and I would be supported. Again I used the solicitors that Amanda had recommended and they were very good, keeping me informed almost daily of how the sale was going.

I finally moved 3 months later. I had no idea with removals and again Amanda contacted me with recommendations which I took up.

I was exceptionally worried, anxious and confused about moving, but with Campbells’ guidance and reassurance it went ahead with very little stress.

If you are looking for a company who honestly guide, support and go the extra mile then look no further than Campbells. This company really does go that extra mile for their clients and I know for CERTAIN, that I would never have managed this without them all.

Campbells were helpful from the start of a very protracted process and were able to keep onbaord the seller when a couple of times it looked as if the purchase would fall through due to problems with my sale. Given I was changing areas and parts of the country they were very helpful on where to look at in Daventry and the surrounding areas.
Stan was particularly calming on the final few days and helped in getting me and my wife over the line with out emotions.

I think for your team this has been one of the most protracted sales having started way back in June 2015 I think. There have been many fits and starts but in all of this both Amanda and Stan have been alongside us willing it to happen.

Well it wasn’t a difficult decision to use Clare Bonwick of Campbells to be the agent to help us sell our Mum’s house. After all she lives across the road and knows the village well.

I spoke with my Mum’s neighbours who had bought their house about a year or so ago. Clare had been the selling agent but they told me that she was the one who really sold them she was very enthusiastic and loved the village so much that it came through whenever they dealt with her.

Clare came and met my sister and I when I was over from the USA and after a brief look around the house initially came up with a range for the price of the house. A while later after having more time to look at the house she decided to use a bid price as she thought that along with leaving the house on the market for a few weeks to allow potential buyers to list their own houses would probably be the best way to go.

The house obviously needs work as our mother has been unable to do much upkeep in recent years. Clare said she did not think the state of the house was a problem and when I saw the pictures she took I was amazed. Clare definitely showed the house in its best light.

We were extremely happy with the offers that Clare was able to get for us and in the time it took. Although I had to leave to return to the USA, Clare kept both my sister and I in the loop with what was going on.

From the moment I started talking to Mark about our property in Braunston I knew he was the person to sell it for us. He was so knowledgeable on the local area and very passionate about selling houses.

I felt it wasn’t just a job he was doing for jobs sake but something he passionately cared about. He really took his time talking me through the selling process, the price of the property and the different forms of marketing they would use to sell it.

Once we had agreed to use Campbells he then took numerous photos of the property even returning to get pictures in better light quality to make the most of our property.

Once the property went live with the numerous selling portals he would phone regularly to give me feedback and updates. With previous agents we have used you’re lucky to hear from them once a month but Mark made a point of at least weekly phoning me about our property. He also was keen to try new things when the property didn’t sell quickly, like online marketing, changing pictures about etc.

All in all I don’t think there was anything more I could have asked from him. But I think once Mark sold the property that’s where he became invaluable to us.

Our property became part of a very complex chain that I truly believe without Mark would have fallen through. When buyers pulled out at the bottom of the chain he managed to secure a new buyer within a week, exchange all paperwork with the new solicitor so the chain lost no time! He then held it all together (and I’m still not sure how he managed to) right to an early exchange to give us a month to properly plan the house move.

So when people say that estate agents are down there with the bankers and used car salesmen I can honestly say that this estate agent doesn’t deserve that. In fact he has completely changed my perception on this industry and I highly recommend him and Campbells and I’m not an easy person to please (just ask my poor husband)!

I chose Campbells because Stan seemed knowledgeable about the local market and because he said that he had someone that was looking to buy an investment property at (almost) the price I wanted.

I was initially sceptical that this may just have been a sales ploy, but in fairness he did come through and kept me informed at regular intervals. The price quoted by Stan seemed about right, another estate agent quoted me +£10k only to subsequently suggest that I market it for -£2.5k with a view on getting -£5k off the price I wanted. Stan was positive about the amount he could achieve for my house and was firm (in a totally nice way) when I asked if we could get a bit more.

I looked on RightMove for who had been selling my type of house and for what price. Campbells looked like they’d sold a few (as did two others, but one of those two spent a long time trying to convince me that they were the right ones to sell my house and when I looked at their marketing literature, it turned out that their claim of having the most number of For Sale / Sold boards up was in fact for just THREE DAYS. I thought that they were clutching at straws and seemed a little desperate).

It was a pleasure to deal with the Campbells team – I felt completely at ease and not pressured in any way at all.

Stan always took my calls or phoned me straight back and was always very helpful. I never avoided any of his calls! I received regular updates.

Of course I’d always want to pay less, but the fact that Campbells already had someone that wanted to buy an investment property like mine, and the fact that it meant the existing tenants could remain in situ made it worth the price I paid (I did get a bit of a discount).

I nearly went with the company that was offering a fixed £1k fee but thought that a virtually guaranteed buyer was worth paying the extra for, along with the “feel good” element that I got with Campbells.

All of the estate agents that I saw said that my house was very saleable and wouldn’t take long to go, so no marketing was required in my case. I had an offer within a week and I feel that this was down to Campbells knowing their market and having attracted suitable buyers. The whole process was totally painless.

Campbells gave a realistic price that they thought they’d achieve for my house and they’d recently sold others like mine for around the same price. Stan and the team were professional and didn’t pressure me in any way at all but at the same time kept me up to date with progress.

A completely painless and worry-free process, I would definitely use Campbells again.

When we first saw your advert in the Rugby Register we had not heard of your company – we did a bit of research and liked the look of the website. As we were a little disillusioned with the way the estate agents we had been to talk to in Rugby had dealt with us, we were willing to take a chance with a new name in the area.

From the first meeting with yourself we felt that you were genuine and gave us honest advice – not just what we wanted to hear to get the business. The time you invested, especially coming back to the property to make sure you got some really good photos, even at the weekend because the weather was ideal, and the effort you went to to ensure the whole online experience of our home was the best, impressed us. Then when the interest seemed to slow down (over the summer) you found a new angle to refresh the whole selling aspect and this made us feel that our sale was just as important to you and Campbells as it was for us.

After a lot of hard work on your part and ours we finally made the sale with even a little bidding war between two interested parties – we sold! I chose Campbells because I was looking for a more personalised approach to selling my home. I requested a valuation as a result of a local flyer. In making the choice to go with Campbells I particularly liked the fact that it is prepared to help at every stage of the process, including negotiating the purchase price of my new home. Although working to a tight budget, the extra ‘hand holding’ convinced me.

I would like to say that I went out of my way to choose Campbells, but I didn’t. I found the house advertised on Right Move. It was within the right price range, big enough for me, and what a bonus it allowed me to bring my two cats. I had previously been renting in Milton Keynes and I have to say that Campbells knocked spots off them.

The staff were great. From the moment I originally called everyone was friendly and welcoming and helpful, and when the viewing was going to be delayed they took the time to call me to let me know.

It was difficult for the person showing the house at the time because for no fault of his own he was delayed and so he had to show a whole group of prospective tenants around at the same time, which was awkward, but he kept his calm and was very professional. When I then went to the office there were two of us interested – the guy dealt with us very fairly by saying that whoever had the referencing completed successfully first would be offered the tenancy and that the referencing fee would be refunded to the one who was unsuccessful. I thought this was a very fair approach. When I arrived the next morning with all the documentation everyone was friendly and helpful and I was offered a cup of tea which was very kind. Everything was smooth and made easy (unlike the other letting agent I used previously).

I can’t think of anything that could be improved on. Carla went through everything thoroughly with me and showed me around the house, was very upfront and helpful. Even recommendations of local takeaways. I thought that being self-employed I might have some difficulty renting property, but that was not the case. I’m not sure if it’s the right word, but I felt trusted.

I was really made to feel like how I felt mattered, and that I was treated like an individual and not like just another person renting just another house.

I have called twice since living here with two small issues which were sorted in no time. I really feel like it’s okay for me call if I have a problem, and I know issues arising are fixed really speedily, and being a single woman that means a lot. Carla is always friendly and welcoming and you feel like she really cares and loves her job.

Carla had good attention to detail, personal service and a happy attitude. She makes you feel like you might feel when chatting to a really good friend who you could sit over a coffee and have a good natter with.

You so often hear about letting agents who really don’t care much when their tenants have an issue and it is so nice to be able to say the opposite with Campbells.

We chose Campbells initially for a valuation after a colleague had recommended them. We had not used Campbells before but we had heard from colleagues that the service provided was very good.

The valuation Mark gave our property was what we felt our property was worth compared to another local agent that we felt under-valued our property. After Mark met with us to do the valuation and finding out what sort of property we wanted, Mark managed to find us exactly what we were looking for which is one of the reasons why we decided that we wanted Campbells to sell our home.

I have to say that I have been very pleased with all the service I have received from Campbells so far.

When deciding which agents to use I didn’t have any preference having only used one agent when moving to the area 8 years ago. However I visited each of the agencies in Daventry to help me decide. Obviously the agent’s commission has to be taken into consideration and influence the decision.

However, I have to say that it was Clare’s kindness and attitude towards me, at a very difficult time for me that clinched the deal. Even though I had spoken directly to the manager at another agent and staff at many others, Clare’s customer service skills surpassed all the others.

I found the task of selling a house (without a partner to share the burden), very daunting. However, when Mark visited to inspect the property he put me at ease, providing valuable advice to get me through the minefield of selling a property, rather than just commenting on the house and its value.

I feel I have received great value for money, and would have still chosen Campbells if the commission had been more. I do not believe any of the other agencies would have provided such great service.

If I had to nominate a member of staff I would say Clare Bonwick, as it was her fantastic customer service which secured my custom. Mark has been a fantastic help too once we met, however, if it were not for meeting Clare on that first day I would have had nothing to help me choose between all of the agencies on my initial visit other than commission.

Thank you for the Herculean effort you and the team have put in on this most unusual of sales.

My property, being unique, required a similarly unique approach by Campbells and this in turn threw up a whole heap of challenges that you had to overcome to marshal the sale through to completion.

I had some dealings with Paul Campbell a few years back when I invited him to assess my property which was the subject of this current sale. Out of all the agents I contacted, only Paul gave me the hard, unfiltered advice I was looking for.

Sometimes the truth can be hard to swallow, but many agents seem to sugar coat this in the erroneous belief that it helps oil the wheels of a deal. I’m in business myself and can confirm it most certainly doesn’t; in fact, it can make things all the more difficult.

The challenges that presented themselves were pretty stressful, but knowing the Campbells team were on side alleviated a lot of this stress.

In particular, Amanda, Stan and Paul Campbell himself were all instrumental in steering this one home.

I am writing to say a BIG thank you for all your help when I was looking for a rental property for Sam.

As you are aware we had approached many different letting agents and nobody was willing to help us or even give us the time of day, as soon as they knew it was for a young single mum, who was in dire need of help. Talk about pre judging without having all the facts. I found their attitude to be both unprofessional and downright rude, in some cases.

We had a quirky property to sell, one you either ‘love or hate’ and it was going to either be a very quick or protracted sale.

We chose Campbells as we considered they were straight talking with some innovative ideas for the sales process, especially their use of the web and their aerial photography.

We had lived in the area for twenty years and Campbells were always prominent in the local paper and with their boards on other properties.

During the process we met most of the staff all of whom were both professional and friendly.

We felt comfortable leaving them to do the viewing and always received a full, open and honest feedback briefing shortly afterwards. We were always able to make contact and were happy that the process would progress as discussed.

The major bonus was when a sale was agreed. The purchaser was somewhat difficult to get hold of but Campbells would contact them outside office hours and we always felt the team was doing all they could to ensure the legal process wasn’t being held up. For us this is where they stepped up a gear and earned their fee.

I’m really happy. We have received great service and I am a bit embarrassed how hard everyone has had to work because we have been very difficult sellers – we couldn’t find what we wanted and we weren’t prepared to go into rented because we love our house and didn’t want to leave unless we found the next move (which had a very specific brief).

I am also very grateful that even when I have had my eye on something and got excited, then we find something is wrong with the property or we think it would be difficult to resell and pulled the plug, no one got annoyed with me (because I was annoyed with myself).

I was prompted to use Campbells as a ‘buying agent’ after seeing a Facebook Advert/Post via a friend.

It was so nice to speak to an estate agent that listened to you rather than just think of their personal targets and commission bonus at the end of the month.

I predominately dealt with Nicky Cartwright in the Yateley branch but all of the staff in all of the offices were all really kind, helpful and reassuring thought out the process.

I decided to use Campbells as I was fed up and disheartened with the estate agents in the local area. It was refreshing to have someone working with you that goes the extra mile to make everything as easy as possible. Nothing ever was a problem for Nicky and no question was too big or small.

Nicky arranged a home buyers survey to be completed for me, as with the age of the property Nicky felt there may be underlying issues. After some investigation Nicky found that the property had previously been withdrawn from the market and had recently had some renovation work carried out for re-marketing purposes. It was hard to ascertain any issues as to onlookers all was fine.

Good job I did have Nicky as my agent as the agent I was buying from was pushing for me to just have a basic survey on the property which wouldn’t have shown any problems up. On reviewing the survey we did put in a reduced offer reflecting the amount of work that would need to be done. However, in the end the seller refused to budge on this so we pulled out and I believe this property is still available to buy some many months later.

Nicky then got back on the case and found me a perfect house. We were looking around the property the day it came onto the market. We then went back the next day to have a second viewing and put an offer in.

We did have a little bit of competition from other buyers but I’m pleased to say with Nicky negotiating on my behalf, we got our offer accepted and below asking price which actually covered the cost of my ‘Buyers Agent’ fees.

At the end of the day nothing is free in life and you get what you pay for. However, when you are about to buy your first house in my case, you want to make sure you are making the right decisions along the way and in the grand scheme of what you are buying Campbells was the most value for money in the whole process.

The whole transaction has gone very smoothly and is due to complete shortly. Even the solicitors that Campbells put me in touch with have really worked hard and always have my best interests at heart.

Nicky worked so hard and persevered with everything thrown at her. I can’t thank her enough for what she has done for me. It is a lovely little house and without any major work to do either. Most importantly Nicky saved me tens of thousands of pounds by making sure I had the correct survey done on the previous property.

I can’t recommend Campbells enough. When buying something as expensive as a house, you need someone you can trust and who had your best interests at heart to get what you need and deal with things you hadn’t even thought of.

I will most certainly use Campbells when it comes to moving on, and also use them as a buyer’s agent again for my next property. They are seriously worth every penny.

The property we sold was my mum’s home. She unfortunately suffered a severe stroke which left her unable to return home due to the extent of the physical and mental disabilities which the stroke caused.

I was granted deputyship and decided that as mum would never be returning home the best thing to do would be to sell it. This was a very difficult decision as not only had she lived there for 27 years, it was also my childhood home.

I knew of Campbells as I had previously been shown a property on Coton Meadows by Clare. I had felt very comfortable with her and that she had empathy with my situation so I felt that I would like her to deal with the sale of mum’s house.

As soon as I spoke, she put my mind at ease. I explained how run down the property was and that I felt somewhat ashamed of it as it was my mum’s but she was so kind and reassuring that I felt comfortable in proceeding with the sale. I explained how overwhelmed I felt about the situation and she totally understood offering to take control of the whole thing, she kept saying that she was there to help and that if I needed anything at all to ring her.

I did have another valuation done on the property for comparison before finally deciding on Clare, however, not only was it considerably lower, the estate agent was clearly oblivious to my obvious emotional connection with the house and my mum’s illness. This situation required someone to be honest, to the point but also empathetic and Clare was this. I felt I could trust her.

Clare’s input into what needed to be done to make it ready for sale was invaluable. It took us nearly 2 weeks to get it ready but it was worth it as it sold the first weekend it was up and for more than the asking price. Clare was great at the negotiations and advising me not to accept the first offer, when that’s all that I wanted to do as it was for the full asking price!

I really can’t stress how grateful I am to Clare, she arranged everything from the EPC to the surveyor and even helped with the solicitors, which were also great. I could ring her whenever and if she wasn’t available she would ring me back as soon as she was. She took charge, which is what I needed as I was dealing with so much emotion, and all I had to do was follow her instructions – she understood the situation from the start and just made it as easy as it was ever going to be in the circumstances.

I know many people who have not had the best experience with estate agents and in the past it is fair to say I have had some interesting versions of the truth, realistic valuations, hard work, we will look after you all the way etc.

Amanda from the Daventry office of Campbells came to the house and gave us the run down on what she would do to sell our house and how she would work hard to see it through. Against my better judgement as I figured ‘they all say that’ and not being the cheapest quote we had, the deal was done.

Sure enough buyers were vetted and although we had a lot of hits from the effective photographs and write up on the internet the viewings were minimal and effective. After just 10 viewings an offer came in and negotiations were started.

Amanda listened to what we needed and worked to our strengths getting an offer from a trust fund that was better than we initially thought was achievable. Solicitors were instructed an all seemed to proceed well until a few weeks in it became clear things were not progressing as we would have liked.

Amanda chased up and one Friday evening called me to say after a fruitless day she felt it was time to put the house back on the market. We discussed the pros and cons and agreed with her suggestion.

Again she got the marketing moving and after a few more viewings achieved an offer and negotiated more than the last! We accepted and the process began again, another trust fund but this time one that insisted we should be able to move quickly. The fund went through its processes and solicitors were again instructed.

Through all of this Amanda kept us informed, got directly involved with suggestions and contacting the solicitors and purchasers to ensure the process did not get derailed . We got the house sold and in no small part because of the efforts and persistence of Amanda.

My partner and I lived in a house just north of Hinckley, Leicestershire and wanted to move to Daventry. We had tried selling our house firstly through a local agent and then a national estate agent based in Hinckley. Neither seemed particularly good at getting anyone around to see the house with the latter being especially poor at anything once I’d agreed to give them our business.

As we were looking to buy a house in Daventry we visited and telephoned the local agents to leave our details and arrange a few viewings where possible. I called Campbells and spoke with Nick Clark who seemed very knowledgeable and fair on the whole of the market for houses in our price range in Daventry. Over time we built a good rapport with Nick as he was very helpful and efficient. Selling our house through the agents in Hinckley was proving hard work. One day I said to Nick “I wish you sold houses in Hinckley” to which he replied “yes we can!”

Nick came over to our house and we had a good discussion about how to take this forward. Nick and the Campbells team had some good ideas about how we should present, photograph and market the house. Much of the viewings were initially coming from ‘online’ sources so it was important to get this correct – a detail the other agents didn’t seem to consider. As there was around 30 miles from our house to Daventry this was going to cause a few issues with viewings but as it proved, this wasn’t a problem for the Campbells team who were able to accompany each viewing.

After a number of viewings Nick lined up four people to see the house one Saturday and it was one of these viewings who turned out to be the next purchaser of our old house. Like every seller I wanted instant sale but Nick was confident and kept selling me to trust in their process and indeed he proved correct with the house achieving the required price we wanted.

The level of service didn’t stop there though. As with any process of buying and selling houses there’s always the juggling act between buyer, seller and Solicitors!

Nick did a first class job of keeping everyone informed and kept pushing the process along with was much appreciated. I think Nick and the Campbells team delivered an extremely high level of service which was much more than I’d have expected. Everything is done with a smile and it is fun do deal with Campbells and their positive ‘can do’ attitude. Fair to say the Campbells weren’t the cheapest people to sell a house with. We paid a fixed price for selling the house which was fair and in return we received a much greater level of service than we expected. So “you get what you pay for” certainly rings true.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Campbells to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling a house even if they don’t live in Daventry.

In the very beginning we had another estate agent out from Daventry as well as yourselves with a view to seeing what the differences were in approach and feel. We had, years ago, rented through Campbells so knew that your reputation was spot on.

At first I was a bit wary as whilst I was not overall impressed with my previous agent, I knew nothing about Campbells. However, I was quickly put at ease as Paul Campbell and Carla Gooden came around to visit and introduce themselves – they also checked to see if I had any outstanding faults with the property etc.
Since I had moved into the property I had had an ongoing problem with a leak from the ceiling in the main bedroom that the previous agency seemed in no rush to find where it was coming from, or in repairing it. I have found renting from Campbells a stress free experience where problems are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner.

It is also nice that you are only dealing with one main person – Carla – as I did find that with the previous agency every time I phoned up I was constantly speaking to a different person and found that messages did not always get passed on and therefore I was quite often having to phone, and phone again.
If asked, I would highly recommend renting through Campbells, as they seem a team who value not only the landlord, but the tenant as well.

Some weeks ago I was approached by one of our sales advisors with a view to buying in a property as part of a part exchange plan.

I am just writing to say that Campbells have restored my faith in Estate Agents.
I first contacted Campbells last year to seek a valuation of my property for a private matter.

Although at that time there was nothing in it for Campbells, Jenny Ponder could not do enough for me and did not charge a penny.

It was clear from this that Campbells were there to provide a service and not just sell a house!
When I was ready to put the house on the market I invited 2 other agents around plus Jenny. One agent wanted to give the house away, one wanted the business but I did not get the right feeling from him that I mattered, rather, I would be just another property……..and then there was Jenny. I felt right from the start that what I wanted and what I felt were as important to her as getting my business.

Nothing was too much trouble and she has such a friendly and approachable demeanour that I felt sure she could deliver what she was offering, and that potential customers would feel relaxed with her when viewing the house. She assured me that the rest of the staff were of a similar ilk.

Campbells gave me the best valuation on the property and got near the asking price and all within about 3 weeks!
I would certainly recommend Campbells to others (and have done so).

Initially we chose Campbells out of convenience, as you were acting for a vendor whose house we had an interest in at the time. However, it soon became apparent that we had found just the right agents for us, as nothing was too much trouble for you. You were always at the other end of the phone, on many occasions after hours!
We were particularly impressed with the way the staff treated us; even though the process of buying and selling property was very new to us, at no point were we confused with jargon, but at the same time we never felt patronised either. The staff were always more than happy to answer any questions we had in clear English, no matter how simple or complex the question. Even for those late-night questions when most people have clocked off for the day, Mark was always able to be reached, to put our minds at ease.

The marketing material was in-depth and widely distributed (via local newspapers, Rightmove website & app, Findaproperty.com etc etc) in order to reach as wide an audience as possible. The photos really did our house justice, and we were particularly impressed that Mark had had the forethought to add in a few photos of the surrounding area as well, a nice touch.

It’s true what previous Campbell’s customers have said, in that the staff really do go that extra mile for you, even down to running little errands like dropping paperwork off at the local solicitors for you, and allowing you to photocopy documents in the office – even when dropping by with no appointment!

As regards value for money; are Campbell’s the cheapest? No. But the old adage “you get what you pay for” rings very true here. The service we received was of a value far higher than what we were charged. After 6pm on a Friday night, how many other estate agents would pick up the phone?

Whilst we have dealt with several members of the team, Mark Heycock really stood out for us as going the extra mile. When negotiating the purchase of our new home through another estate agent became rather tricky for us, Mark stepped in and negotiated on our behalf, alleviating the stress, and getting the job done. We got the result we wanted, without the stress. Suffice to say, our house is now sold and we have secured the house that we so desperately wanted. And all thanks to Mark and the team at Campbell’s!

My house was already on the market with another agent, however, Mark at Campbells was already providing a service with regards to buying another house and in deed giving advise for the house I was selling. Due to the no service and apathy of the agent selling my house I withdrew and instructed Campbells. Campbells presented my house professionally and marketed both tirelessly and enthusiastically. The team at all times are friendly with time to discuss your sale, but remain respectful and professional at all times. One particular occasion was when my removal team was present at Manor Cottage conducting full packing and loading of a 17-tonne truck. June (apologies but forgotten her surname), called at the house in person 30 mins before a previously arranged appointment for prospective new tenants to view the cottage. Her reason for calling in was to forewarn me that the landlady (Mrs Wakeford) would also be attending the viewing. This was not the original agreement, as the removal team (7 in total) were extremely busy (as was I) and we didn’t have the time to stop whilst the land lady wanted to view the property. She also gave NO prior warning of her intention to do so. So I politely asked June to remind the landlady that she needs to give 24 hrs notice of her intentions to view or visit the property. It was a welcome relief to have June’s presence, and her professional approach to conducting the tour was commendable. She handled the landlady in a courteous and polite manner. Very pleased and extremely grateful that she bothered to arrive 30 mins early! Made my day so much easier!.

As you are aware we had approached many different letting agents and nobody was willing to help us or even give us the time of day, as soon as they knew it was for a young single mum, who was in dire need of help. We had a quirky property to sell, one you either ‘love or hate’ and it was going to either be a very quick or protracted sale.

We chose Campbells as we considered they were straight talking with some innovative ideas for the sales process, especially their use of the web and their aerial photography.

We had lived in the area for twenty years and Campbells were always prominent in the local paper and with their boards on other properties.

During the process we met most of the staff all of whom were both professional and friendly.

We felt comfortable leaving them to do the viewing and always received a full, open and honest feedback briefing shortly afterwards. We were always able to make contact and were happy that the process would progress as discussed.

The major bonus was when a sale was agreed. The purchaser was somewhat difficult to get hold of but Campbells would contact them outside office hours and we always felt the team was doing all they could to ensure the legal process wasn’t being held up. For us this is where they stepped up a gear and earned their fee.

It is difficult to single out one person for special thanks. We would however like to thank Nick for his efforts during the viewing process and Mark for his dogged determination once the sale was agreed.

I’m really happy. We have received great service and I am a bit embarrassed how hard everyone has had to work because we have been very difficult sellers – we couldn’t find what we wanted and we weren’t prepared to go into rented because we love our house and didn’t want to leave unless we found the next move (which had a very specific brief).

I am also very grateful that even when I have had my eye on something and got excited, then we find something is wrong with the property or we think it would be difficult to resell and pulled the plug, no one got annoyed with me (because I was annoyed with myself).

At the end of the day, you guys listen and understand our circumstances. It’s with a heavy heart that I leave our house but we have been here 13 years and you can keep doing the same thing over and over again or you can find a lovely character property in a village and mortgage yourself up to the hilt like we have!

Anyway, I will be making a cake and bringing it into the office just before move to say thank you to you all. I promise I won’t forget!

However, you did say you would be happy to try at the higher price if we insisted, and your valuation was only an opinion and not that far off our previous valuation.

In addition, you had explained how you had lived here once yourself and were passionate about the house – your treasured memories along with you having a personal fondness about Clifton and your friendly and honest persona which stood out a mile, gave us a feeling of trust.

We gave a great deal of thought to making our decision in inviting you back and asked if you would advertise at a higher price, to which you agreed, forsaking our previous agent who had in the past given us great service.

The rest is history, except to say that we chose well in a pictorial advertisement to shame all others and a service second to none.

When I first discussed the issues of my current situation with Nicky Cartwright, she was very helpful and said she would ask around for anyone that was renting, she did not discriminate against me as I’m a DSS client, like other estate agents have!!!

I did have three estate agents to value my house, two around the same valuation, but I went with Campbells as I really liked the friendly approach, no over powering sales talk.

It was one of my sons who recommended Campbells as he had sold a house or two through you and had got on really well.

I was prompted to use Campbells as a ‘buying agent’ after seeing a Facebook Advert/Post via a friend.

It was so nice to speak to an estate agent that listened to you rather than just think of their personal targets and commission bonus at the end of the month.

I predominately dealt with Nicky Cartwright in the Yateley branch but all of the staff in all of the offices were all really kind, helpful and reassuring thought out the process.

I decided to use Campbells as I was fed up and disheartened with the estate agents in the local area. It was refreshing to have someone working with you that goes the extra mile to make everything as easy as possible. Nothing ever was a problem for Nicky and no question was too big or small.

Nicky arranged a home buyers survey to be completed for me, as with the age of the property Nicky felt there may be underlying issues. After some investigation Nicky found that the property had previously been withdrawn from the market and had recently had some renovation work carried out for re-marketing purposes. It was hard to ascertain any issues as to onlookers all was fine.

Good job I did have Nicky as my agent as the agent I was buying from was pushing for me to just have a basic survey on the property which wouldn’t have shown any problems up. On reviewing the survey we did put in a reduced offer reflecting the amount of work that would need to be done. However, in the end the seller refused to budge on this so we pulled out and I believe this property is still available to buy some many months later.

Nicky then got back on the case and found me a perfect house. We were looking around the property the day it came onto the market. We then went back the next day to have a second viewing and put an offer in.

We did have a little bit of competition from other buyers but I’m pleased to say with Nicky negotiating on my behalf, we got our offer accepted and below asking price which actually covered the cost of my ‘Buyers Agent’ fees.

At the end of the day nothing is free in life and you get what you pay for. However, when you are about to buy your first house in my case, you want to make sure you are making the right decisions along the way and in the grand scheme of what you are buying Campbells was the most value for money in the whole process.

The whole transaction has gone very smoothly and is due to complete shortly. Even the solicitors that Campbells put me in touch with have really worked hard and always have my best interests at heart.

Nicky worked so hard and persevered with everything thrown at her. I can’t thank her enough for what she has done for me. It is a lovely little house and without any major work to do either. Most importantly Nicky saved me tens of thousands of pounds by making sure I had the correct survey done on the previous property.

I can’t recommend Campbells enough. When buying something as expensive as a house, you need someone you can trust and who had your best interests at heart to get what you need and deal with things you hadn’t even thought of.

I will most certainly use Campbells when it comes to moving on, and also use them as a buyer’s agent again for my next property. They are seriously worth every penny.

The property we sold was my mum’s home. She unfortunately suffered a severe stroke which left her unable to return home due to the extent of the physical and mental disabilities which the stroke caused.

I was granted deputyship and decided that as mum would never be returning home the best thing to do would be to sell it. This was a very difficult decision as not only had she lived there for 27 years, it was also my childhood home.

I knew of Campbells as I had previously been shown a property on Coton Meadows by Clare. I had felt very comfortable with her and that she had empathy with my situation so I felt that I would like her to deal with the sale of mum’s house.

As soon as I spoke, she put my mind at ease. I explained how run down the property was and that I felt somewhat ashamed of it as it was my mum’s but she was so kind and reassuring that I felt comfortable in proceeding with the sale. I explained how overwhelmed I felt about the situation and she totally understood offering to take control of the whole thing, she kept saying that she was there to help and that if I needed anything at all to ring her.

I did have another valuation done on the property for comparison before finally deciding on Clare, however, not only was it considerably lower, the estate agent was clearly oblivious to my obvious emotional connection with the house and my mum’s illness. This situation required someone to be honest, to the point but also empathetic and Clare was this. I felt I could trust her.

Clare’s input into what needed to be done to make it ready for sale was invaluable. It took us nearly 2 weeks to get it ready but it was worth it as it sold the first weekend it was up and for more than the asking price. Clare was great at the negotiations and advising me not to accept the first offer, when that’s all that I wanted to do as it was for the full asking price!

I really can’t stress how grateful I am to Clare, she arranged everything from the EPC to the surveyor and even helped with the solicitors, which were also great. I could ring her whenever and if she wasn’t available she would ring me back as soon as she was. She took charge, which is what I needed as I was dealing with so much emotion, and all I had to do was follow her instructions – she understood the situation from the start and just made it as easy as it was ever going to be in the circumstances.

I didn’t really get a chance to speak that much to any other members of the team but I would definitely recommend Campbells based on my experience of dealing with Clare.

I have sold properties previously with other estate agents and was not looking forward to going through this process. It was still extremely difficult but this time for emotional reasons and not for incompetence!

I know many people who have not had the best experience with estate agents and in the past it is fair to say I have had some interesting versions of the truth, realistic valuations, hard work, we will look after you all the way etc.

Amanda from the Daventry office of Campbells came to the house and gave us the run down on what she would do to sell our house and how she would work hard to see it through. Against my better judgement as I figured ‘they all say that’ and not being the cheapest quote we had, the deal was done.

Sure enough buyers were vetted and although we had a lot of hits from the effective photographs and write up on the internet the viewings were minimal and effective. After just 10 viewings an offer came in and negotiations were started.

Amanda listened to what we needed and worked to our strengths getting an offer from a trust fund that was better than we initially thought was achievable. Solicitors were instructed an all seemed to proceed well until a few weeks in it became clear things were not progressing as we would have liked.

Amanda chased up and one Friday evening called me to say after a fruitless day she felt it was time to put the house back on the market. We discussed the pros and cons and agreed with her suggestion.

Again she got the marketing moving and after a few more viewings achieved an offer and negotiated more than the last! We accepted and the process began again, another trust fund but this time one that insisted we should be able to move quickly. The fund went through its processes and solicitors were again instructed.

Through all of this Amanda kept us informed, got directly involved with suggestions and contacting the solicitors and purchasers to ensure the process did not get derailed . We got the house sold and in no small part because of the efforts and persistence of Amanda.

To summarise, all the staff we dealt with at Campbells were professional, helpful and friendly and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants to achieve a good price for their home and see excellent value for money from the fees.

My partner and I lived in a house just north of Hinckley, Leicestershire and wanted to move to Daventry. We had tried selling our house firstly through a local agent and then a national estate agent based in Hinckley. Neither seemed particularly good at getting anyone around to see the house with the latter being especially poor at anything once I’d agreed to give them our business.

As we were looking to buy a house in Daventry we visited and telephoned the local agents to leave our details and arrange a few viewings where possible. I called Campbells and spoke with Nick Clark who seemed very knowledgeable and fair on the whole of the market for houses in our price range in Daventry. Over time we built a good rapport with Nick as he was very helpful and efficient. Selling our house through the agents in Hinckley was proving hard work. One day I said to Nick “I wish you sold houses in Hinckley” to which he replied “yes we can!”

Nick came over to our house and we had a good discussion about how to take this forward. Nick and the Campbells team had some good ideas about how we should present, photograph and market the house. Much of the viewings were initially coming from ‘online’ sources so it was important to get this correct – a detail the other agents didn’t seem to consider. As there was around 30 miles from our house to Daventry this was going to cause a few issues with viewings but as it proved, this wasn’t a problem for the Campbells team who were able to accompany each viewing.

After a number of viewings Nick lined up four people to see the house one Saturday and it was one of these viewings who turned out to be the next purchaser of our old house. Like every seller I wanted instant sale but Nick was confident and kept selling me to trust in their process and indeed he proved correct with the house achieving the required price we wanted.

The level of service didn’t stop there though. As with any process of buying and selling houses there’s always the juggling act between buyer, seller and Solicitors!

Nick did a first class job of keeping everyone informed and kept pushing the process along with was much appreciated. I think Nick and the Campbells team delivered an extremely high level of service which was much more than I’d have expected. Everything is done with a smile and it is fun do deal with Campbells and their positive ‘can do’ attitude. Fair to say the Campbells weren’t the cheapest people to sell a house with. We paid a fixed price for selling the house which was fair and in return we received a much greater level of service than we expected. So “you get what you pay for” certainly rings true.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Campbells to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling a house even if they don’t live in Daventry.

We were recommended to Nick Clark at Campbells.

We had brief experience of another Estate Agent regarding a valuation of our property, but they let us down completely.

From the start we felt at ease with Campbells when Paul and Nick gave our house it’s valuation. They took their time with the valuation and gave us their honest opinion and advice. Again with the picture taking and measurement there was time taken, even coming back a second time because the pictures could look better.

Nick was always our contact person at Campbells and when speaking to him or the office there was always a friendly reply.

Having dealt with other Estate Agents when selling our parent’s house we were not very optimistic about the outcome having had very poor service on both occasions. In the very beginning we had another estate agent out from Daventry as well as yourselves with a view to seeing what the differences were in approach and feel. We had, years ago, rented through Campbells so knew that your reputation was spot on.

The main reason for choosing Campbells was the feeling of care we experienced in the initial meeting with Stan.

There was no hard sell, no pushing to make a decision and a very professional approach to your competitors in the area. We felt valued and not just a name on the books bringing in money! Even without signing up, Stan provided tips and added extra’s to help us get under-way.

Offering a ‘one-stop’ shop of services was definitely a big winner too. With both of us working full time and three kids in the house, it meant we did not have to shop around or worry about solicitors or financial advice as this was all available to us at a single phone call which in turn, was all arranged for us!

We were lucky as the minute we went on the market, we had numerous viewings and even with personal restrictions for viewing at the time, Campbells managed to accommodate everyone (us and potential buyers) and keep the communication flow brilliantly buoyant which is always a challenge.

We could honestly say we knew exactly what was going on every step of the way.

The team all played their part and were amazing but Stan stood out – even calling me on his day’s holiday after his round of golf on a Friday evening. Talk about go the extra mile – that is why we are pleased we sold with Campbells and I would recommend to any of our friends or family wishing to sale or even buy.

The service we received was fantastic. I even received a call to check I was ok after we moved which in itself, was lovely.

I talked to Paul about moving house at an event and he gave me loads of helpful hints and a copy of his book, which everyone who is selling their house should read.

Here’s an estate agent not just passionate about selling houses but about helping people in the process and making it as easy and painless as possible.

When Paul and Duncan came to have a look at my property, they were very professional and made me feel that my property was going to sell and was in good hands. Little did I know at the time that I’d have four viewings lined up a few days after the property going on the market and an offer within less than a week!

The team in the office were very helpful and knowledgeable as well and I felt like they really cared about me.
I would never in a million years even consider using a traditional estate agent ever again after my experience with Campbells. If I ever have to sell again, there can only be one choice of agent – no prizes for guessing who that will be.

Although there has been little face-to-face interaction because of the distance between Daventry and Reading, I’ve felt better looked after and kept informed than with any previous agent.

At first I was a bit wary as whilst I was not overall impressed with my previous agent, I knew nothing about Campbells. However, I was quickly put at ease as Paul Campbell and Carla Gooden came around to visit and introduce themselves – they also checked to see if I had any outstanding faults with the property etc.
Since I had moved into the property I had had an ongoing problem with a leak from the ceiling in the main bedroom that the previous agency seemed in no rush to find where it was coming from, or in repairing it. Only two days after the initial visit from Carla & Paul, workmen were sent round and they stayed until the problem was found (a tiny hole in the roof) and repaired.

I have found renting from Campbells a stress free experience where problems are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner.

It is also nice that you are only dealing with one main person – Carla – as I did find that with the previous agency every time I phoned up I was constantly speaking to a different person and found that messages did not always get passed on and therefore I was quite often having to phone, and phone again.
If asked, I would highly recommend renting through Campbells, as they seem a team who value not only the landlord, but the tenant as well.

I met Paul Campbell sometime ago and remembered him mentioning that you didn’t need to go to a local estate agents when selling a property, so when my father passed away and left a bungalow which I needed to sell, I decided to speak to Campbells.

Some weeks ago I was approached by one of our sales advisors with a view to buying in a property as part of a part exchange plan.

The client was already on the market with an agent, who was kept in place, and our sales advisor on the Willowcroft development in Coventry suggested that Campbells were always ready and willing to help her out with comparable information whenever she telephoned, and therefore she suggested giving Campbells a try.

I first contacted Campbells last year to seek a valuation of my property for a private matter.

Although at that time there was nothing in it for Campbells, Jenny Ponder could not do enough for me and did not charge a penny.

Initially we chose Campbells out of convenience, as you were acting for a vendor whose house we had an interest in at the time. However, it soon became apparent that we had found just the right agents for us, as nothing was too much trouble for you. You were always at the other end of the phone, on many occasions after hours!
We were particularly impressed with the way the staff treated us; even though the process of buying and selling property was very new to us, at no point were we confused with jargon, but at the same time we never felt patronised either. Even for those late-night questions when most people have clocked off for the day, Mark was always able to be reached, to put our minds at ease.

The marketing material was in-depth and widely distributed (via local newspapers, Rightmove website & app, Findaproperty.com etc etc) in order to reach as wide an audience as possible. The photos really did our house justice, and we were particularly impressed that Mark had had the forethought to add in a few photos of the surrounding area as well, a nice touch.

It’s true what previous Campbell’s customers have said, in that the staff really do go that extra mile for you, even down to running little errands like dropping paperwork off at the local solicitors for you, and allowing you to photocopy documents in the office – even when dropping by with no appointment!

As regards value for money; are Campbell’s the cheapest? No. But the old adage “you get what you pay for” rings very true here. The service we received was of a value far higher than what we were charged. After 6pm on a Friday night, how many other estate agents would pick up the phone?

Whilst we have dealt with several members of the team, Mark Heycock really stood out for us as going the extra mile. When negotiating the purchase of our new home through another estate agent became rather tricky for us, Mark stepped in and negotiated on our behalf, alleviating the stress, and getting the job done. We got the result we wanted, without the stress. Suffice to say, our house is now sold and we have secured the house that we so desperately wanted. And all thanks to Mark and the team at Campbell’s!

My house was already on the market with another agent, however, Mark at Campbells was already providing a service with regards to buying another house and in deed giving advise for the house I was selling. Due to the no service and apathy of the agent selling my house I withdrew and instructed Campbells. Campbells presented my house professionally and marketed both tirelessly and enthusiastically. The team at all times are friendly with time to discuss your sale, but remain respectful and professional at all times. Campbells have now sold 2 properties for me and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other people. Even in this market the one thing Campbells never do is loose interest in your property. They make you feel that you and your property are important to them. Having used Estate Agents before both in this county and other areas I have never had an agent provide any service, in fact the agent has been nothing more than a shop window, so in my view the fee for sale has been unjustified. Then I met Campbells and I can tell you they earn every penny of their fee. Regarding one agent in particular ‘Mark”, he has provided an individual service, communication, contact, advice, time and support, I do not believe this man could have done anymore. I just want to say something about support; professionalism etc goes without saying. Personally, one of the most important things, especially in a challenging market, is support. Russ and I were faced with a dilemma, with 3 weeks to go before exchanging on our purchase through another agency; news came to light, which resulted in us, withdrawing from buying. One particular occasion was when my removal team was present at Manor Cottage conducting full packing and loading of a 17-tonne truck. June (apologies but forgotten her surname), called at the house in person 30 mins before a previously arranged appointment for prospective new tenants to view the cottage. Her reason for calling in was to forewarn me that the landlady (Mrs Wakeford) would also be attending the viewing. This was not the original agreement, as the removal team (7 in total) were extremely busy (as was I) and we didn’t have the time to stop whilst the land lady wanted to view the property. She also gave NO prior warning of her intention to do so. So I politely asked June to remind the landlady that she needs to give 24 hrs notice of her intentions to view or visit the property. It was a welcome relief to have June’s presence, and her professional approach to conducting the tour was commendable. She handled the landlady in a courteous and polite manner. Very pleased and extremely grateful that she bothered to arrive 30 mins early! Made my day so much easier!.
